Learning Through Internship

LTIs are an integral part of the Big Picture program as they provide personalized guidance and mentorship to students allowing them to connect the work they are doing in the class to a professional environment under the guidance of experts in that field. This approach fosters student ownership of learning, boosts engagement, deepens understanding, and equips students with essential life skills for real-world readiness.

In Touch Hair Creations, West Gosford

During my internship at In Touch Hair Creations in West Gosford, I had the opportunity to immerse myself in a professional salon environment. I was responsible for assisting hairdressers by preparing dyes, washing clients' hair, maintaining a clean space, and offering refreshments. This role involved balancing technical tasks with attentive customer service, giving me a well-rounded experience in both the creative and service aspects of the business. My time there strengthened my confidence in supporting clients and taught me valuable skills I can carry forward

RYHEN Fencing & Gates, West Gosford

During my internship at RYHEN Outdoor Solutions, I gained valuable insight into the operations of a self-grown business. I was involved in a range of tasks, including customer relationship management using CRM tools like Tall Emu, and assisting with financial management through Xero. This experience gave me a deeper understanding of the responsibilities involved in running a business and the essential skills needed to maintain strong client relationships, manage workflows, and ensure smooth day-to-day operations.

Motiv8sports, Central Coast

During my internship at Motiv8sports Central Coast, I had the opportunity to organize and lead sports clinics at primary schools, where I introduced young students to various sports and activities. My responsibilities included planning engaging sessions, setting up equipment, and encouraging participation to ensure that each child felt included and motivated. I focused on helping students build confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship through fun and interactive exercises. This experience allowed me to develop strong leadership and communication skills, as well as an understanding of how to create a positive and supportive environment for young athletes.
